ColepCCL expands aerosol can manufacturing to Poland

ColepCCL, the largest European contract manufacturer of aerosol and liquid products in personal care, cosmetic, over-the counter pharmaceutical and household categories, and a leading supplier of tinplate and plastic packaging solutions, are pleased to announce that in line with our Vision, and in support of our Values, we have now expanded our Metal Packaging activities to Poland.
The investment includes a state-of-the-art, fully automated line, installed in our Polish site located in Kleszczów, which assembles tinplate aerosol cans at a rate of 450 cans per minute. Further investments in printing and components production have also been made at our Vale de Cambra site in order to support the Metal Packaging operations in Poland. With this investment we have been able to significantly increase our European offer and consolidate our position as the third largest aerosol can producer in Europe.

Since the initial construction of the Kleszczów plant in 1999, the aim has always been to integrate our filling operations with our can making activities. The 85000 m2 facility allows us not only to continue the growth of our filling activities, but also expand our can making operations which will give us future opportunities to install aerosol component making machinery and further printing facilities on the site.
The new line is fully automated and allows assembly of cans with diameters of 49mm and 52mm. Dependant on future demand, we may install other diameters such as 65mm. The printed sheet along with the can components will continue to be manufactured in our Portuguese plant.
Construction of the new facility started in May 2007 and was completed in December 2007.
