Electronic in-line LEAK TESTER for Filled Aerosol Cans

WILCO AG of Switzerland has delivered and installed many fully automatic, high pressure, 100% in-line rotary leak tester type WILCOMAT? AE to test empty aerosol cans, both welded and aluminum. Up to 15 bar testing pressure inside the can allows the system to detect leaks equivalent to ≤ 3.3 x 10-2 mbar.l.s-1 on all can formats. This detection sensitivity guarantees that the specifications for testing empty AE cans meets UN/FEA "Alternatives to the water bath Test for Aerosol Dispensers" specifications.
In July 2007, a UK based AE can filling company has installed the first 100% in-line leak tester built by WILCO AG to test filled AE cans. The equipment is being designed to detect leaks equivalent to ≤ 2.0 x 10-3 mbar.l.s-1, guaranteeing to meet the UN/FEA specifications on testing filled AE cans.
