NEW CHAIRMAN APPOINTED TO BRITISH AEROSOL MANUFACTURERS' ASSOCIATION
11/06/2008
Nigel Jackson has been appointed as the new Chairman of the British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA). Nigel works for Precision Valve, part of the Precision Group of Companies, in the role of Technical Director, Europe. He has been an active member of several of the BAMA Committees during the past twenty-five years, as well as teaching on the Association’s Aerosol Technology Course. Nigel also chaired the Technical Committee during his long association with BAMA. He became a member of the Executive Committee in November 2005 and takes up his role as BAMA Chairman in June 2008.
Nigel Jackson says: “As a global manufacturer of aerosol valves and accessories to the Aerosol market we see a high level of involvement with BAMA as a vital part of our ongoing commitment to developing the UK aerosol market at a time of increasing legislative demands for our industry. Having worked in the sector for 35 years both with a global aerosol marketer/manufacturer and a global supplier, I hope that I will be able to offer advice to the Executive Committee, in my role as Chairman, that will benefit all sides of the supply chain.”
Sue Rogers, BAMA director, says: “We are delighted to continue our work with Nigel who has been very active with the Association for many years. I am confident he will continue the excellent work of our outgoing Chairman Janie Heywood of Reckitt Benckiser who provided guidance and support to the Executive Committee over the past year at an extremely busy time.
