BAMA Helps Members Meet REACH Regulations
18/11/2008
BAMA, the British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association has introduced a series of reports on chemicals commonly used in aerosol products – The BAMA Hazard Profile Summaries. These reports present the hazard potential of each chemical, with particular emphasis given to discussion of potential effects following inhalation or dermal exposure.
The reports have been specifically developed with a view to providing a summary of the publicly available data (at the time of writing) needed by suppliers and downstream users when conducting the Chemical Safety Assessment of the chemical as required by REACH.
All Hazard Profiles have been complied for BAMA by The Institute of Environment and Health (IEH).
The Institute of Environment and Health (IEH) was established at Cranfield University in November 2005. The research and consultancy activities of the Institute are principally funded through specific grants, contracts and awards by UK Government Departments and Agencies.
The BAMA Hazard Profile Summaries are free to members and £200 for non-members, they can be downloaded / purchased from the BAMA website at
