The Transport of Aerosols one day course
29/06/2010
The British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) is running its popular one-day training course on the 13th July 2010. The course will enable employees involved in the consignment of aerosols for transport to acquire the necessary knowledge to understand the requirements of safe shipment.
Aerosols are dangerous goods and are subject to the dangerous goods regulations when in transport (by land, sea or air). It is a requirement of the regulations that personnel responsible for shipments should be appropriately trained.
The transport regulations change every two years and the last changes were in 2009 the course will cover the current requirements. More importantly more changes will take place in 2011 and these will have a major impact on the aerosol industry and the courses will preview the changes and provide advice on the planning for future changes.
The one day course will be held at the BAMA office in London and numbers are limited to 20 delegates.
The day-long events run by transport experts, will cover all modes of transport – road, sea, rail and air both national (UK) and international. The course will also cover the transport of waste aerosols.
Staff involved in arranging transport of dangerous goods must be suitably trained and the course will meet the basic requirement. Certificates will be provided to attendees of the BAMA seminar.
The cost to attend is £315 + VAT for non-members, and £150 + VAT for BAMA members.
For more details about the training seminars, please contact Amanda Gent at BAMA on 020 7828 5111, visit the BAMA website at www.bama.co.uk or email enquiries@bama.co.uk
