Aerosol Technology Course

This intensive 2 day course is designed to provide a good understanding of how an aerosol works, how it is made, what affects the performance of an aerosol product as well as the environmental and regulatory considerations that need to be taken into account.

Classification and Labelling Course
National Space Centre, Leicester
This one day course for members only is based on the Classification and Labelling module in the BAMA Standard, Issue 4. It will train regulatory specialists in how to deal with the classification, safety assessments, notification and labelling requirements of the Aerosol Dispensers Directive, REACH and CLP as well as provide information on weights and measures, voluntary warnings and the valuable opportunity to ask all those questions about what labels are required on an aerosol can and what information is needed to support them.

Transport Course
BAMA Offices, London
Aerosols are classed as dangerous goods for transport and the transport regulations require that any shipment of aerosol goods, including samples, must be properly declared and adequately packaged. This course fulfils the UN training requirement for those involved in the transport of dangerous goods.
Who should attend?
This one day course is designed for any employee involved in the consigning of aerosols for transport by road, rail, air or sea. A certificate is issued to those who attend.

Environment Day
BAMA Offices, London
The BAMA Environment day is a new approach to issues management for the Association. Key to this approach is an Environmental Issues Seminar covering the three current ‘hot’ topics affecting the aerosol industry followed by a meeting of the Committee to agree the BAMA strategy for the next twelve months on these and other Environmental Issues.

The thing that distinguishes aerosol filling from that of other packaged goods is the use of propellants. The aerosol industry has an excellent safety record and key to this has been the safe handling of these propellants.
